Professional info (basic stuff)
You might have well understood that — however unconventional — I am a lawyer.
I am admitted to the legal profession and registered with the Bar of Milan. This is not yet a full professional website, I am planning to build one and things are evolving, so stay tuned.
I am concentrating more and more, as a superniche practice, in working for a few selected clients (and friends) as well as receiving referral instructions from larger firms on the following matters:
- Free Software, open source software consulting and licensing;
- Technology transfer, software development and licensing;
- Open standards, open formats, standardization in general;
- Information Technology & Telecommunication Law;
- Domain name and Trademark protection;
- Data protection;
- Competition in the software market (especailly at EU level).
But I also have experience and somewhat still working in almost all sectors of Civil Law and I have some experience also in administrative court proceedings concerning public procurement of service contracts. If you need my expertise, I cannot promise I have enough time to work for you, but it is always worth a try. And don't forget to always ask for an estimate of costs before confirming instructions (you should do that with any lawyers anyway, this is a free but good advice!)

Explanation: A "superniche practice" is the practice of someone who is fed up with general practice and has sufficient clients to dedicate himself to the part which is more fun. One of the few benefits of getting old and wise.
